Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is started from Thursday. The corporation has also completed all the preparation for the Yatra.
On Thursday, the first group of travelers will reach to Kathgodam. There are 42 male and 14 female in the group of total 56 people.
This travel was introduced by Indian Ministry of external affairs and Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam (KMVN) in 1981. Two days are reduced in this year’s travel and two more groups are added.
After the health checkup of all the members of the groups on 9th June, the first group reached to KathGodam at 1.00 pm. After that the group will go to Almora and stay at night there.
In the first group, 16 people are from Gujarat, 14 are from Delhi, 6 are from Maharashtra, 4 are from Rajasthan, 1-1 from Telangana, Kerala, Karnataka, Haryana and Andhra Pradeesh. There are 11 more people from other states.
