IRCTC is constantly doing preparation for this, so that the booking system will get faster.
For this, the ministry of railway is working on a new website, in which the speed of booking the ticket is getting 3 times faster.
According to the department, if everything goes well, the people will get benefit in the net few months. The new portal is being developed in the beta version.
According to the department, an option regarding this will come on the IRCTC website soon, in which the people who is booking the ticket will get two options.
One of the options is for the same IRCTC website whereas another option will take the person to the new portal.
Center for Railway Information System is engaged in the development of the new website. IRCTC has started to upgrade the new website from the last year.
Still, this is not complete, but users will get this facility soon.
